Kajsa Kedefors is a freelance reporter. She was previously a breaking news correspondent for the Dallas Morning News where she covered crime, cops, courts and a cult. At the News, she also reported arts and entertainment stories about artists, celebrities, trends, nightlife, religion, culture and interesting groups of people.
Kedefors was a Boston Globe correspondent in 2023 and continued contributing to the metro and living/arts departments through 2024. She interviewed lawyers, politicians, drag queens, doctors, academics, celebrities, rap artists and business leaders. She's also worked as an E2AC podcast intern and a NextEd research intern, and her work has been published in GBH.
Kedefors graduated from Boston University with a joint philosophy and psychology major. She also majored in independent studies, a major with a course curriculum she created with faculty approval concentrating in social science and public policy. She minored in journalism.
Kedefors enjoys stand-up comedy, backpacking, memoirs, running, Afrobeats and red wine. She worked as a bartender in Sweden, and lived in Spain for six months in Barcelona and Madrid where she studied linguistics and Spanish history and culture. She's currently based in Thailand and freelancing from there. She has a goal to listen to all of the This American Life episodes. She's still working on it.
